He set about providing a bespoke, luxury retail experience for customers, with a mission to provide “world-class shoes, with a world-class retail experience and world-class customer service” from the 200-year-old Ushaw Estate on the outskirts of Durham.
With his bespoke shoes now retailing for between £270 and £500, he is turning over in excess of £250,000 a year by building a business and a brand he wants to disrupt the industry. Ahead of the BBC screening, Mr Bourne said he can’t wait for people to see the show.
